Anna Georgiadou

Anna Georgiadou

is a teacher of Greek Language & Literature. She studied at the History and Archeology Faculty at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. As a student, she participated in archaeological excavations.

Professional Profile       

  • In the period between 1982 and 1990 she has worked on the correction and editing of translations.
  • Since 1995 she has worked as a teacher in secondary education, in private and mainly in public schools. She has created original teaching material from a variety of sources, for the delivery of Greek language and literature lessons, resulting in a large personal archive of notes, drawings, exercises, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • She has worked for 5 years on yearly secondments, since 2007 at KEE, and since 2012 at IEP. She has been  allocated to the PISA team which organizes and conducts the relevant OECD survey in Greece. As a member of the team, she is involved in translations, proofreading and literary editing, training, coding of students’ responses etc. Since September 2017 she has been working again at the Institute of Educational Policy, on a four-year secondment.

Publications & Projects

  • She has attended seminars on teacher-student relationships, as well as, on the teaching of literary courses, addressed to pupils with special needs, on the use of technology in teaching editing and the visual arts
  • She is interested in: psychology, history, archeology, literature and the arts. She writes poetry.
