Educational Work Quality and Evaluation Unit
The Evaluation Unit is responsible for assessment matters in Primary and Secondary Education. The Unit’s jurisdictions particularly pertain to:
- development and formulation of a framework for the descriptive assessment of pupils
- issuance of opinion concerning queries for survey conduct, implementation of educational programmes and preparation of educational material in regard to evaluation
- data provision for the substantiation of the responses in the context of parliamentary scrutiny procedures
- data provision for the preparation of reports on European and international level with reference to pupil assessment in the Greek educational system
- participation in Working Groups and Committees in order to submit proposals for issues of educational evaluation
- the formulation, elaboration and implementation of proposals for training or/and pilot run of new measures and programs regarding assessment in Primary and Secondary Education
