The Pre-school Unit deals with issues concerning preschool students (4-6 years of age). It issues opinions on matters related to the nursery school curriculum and accompanying educational material (e.g. kindergarten teacher’s guide), kindergarten schedule or other matters concerning the proper operation of nursery schools.

In addition, it delivers opinions on the implementation of programs delivered by various institutions, e.g. Universities or research by postgraduate students or doctoral candidates as well as educational materials, e.g. books, games, all directed to preschool education.

Within this framework, the unit may also design and implement surveys and participate in funded or co-funded programs.
